Points mean prizes in the battle of clans

With Clan Battles fully underway, find out exactly how to win the most points and defeat your clan enemies once and for all.

The winning scale

Each colosseum on the Clan Battle map can be captured by you or your opposing clan.

You can only reach colosseums that are further away, once you have captured those closest to your side of the map, with combat increasing in difficulty and granting more points and prizes the further you stray from your side.

In order to occupy a colosseum, you will need to reach a certain amount of points on the scale you will see at the top of the colosseum’s information.

The closer you are to your side of the map, the lower the points required to capture the colosseum will be.

This means that it will be much harder for the enemy clan to territorialize a colosseum that is on your side of the map as they will need a much larger quantity of points.

Health means victory

The amount of points you receive after successful combat depend on the overall health of all your gladiators after the battle.

You will receive 3, 2, or 1, points that contribute towards capturing the colosseum.

This means that defense is equally as important as attack in these battles.

Incorporate defensive gladiators with protective skills into your combat strategy in order to take advantage of the maximum points available from successful fights.

Sword and Shield gladiators with active block and armour increase skills can help defend enemy attacks and reduce damage, whilst gladiators with the healing shout active skills can help heal injured gladiators and improve your chances of achieving the maximum points.

Exploiting passive skills is also crucial in these strategic battles as using gladiators with scavenger, anger, and regeneration can save your gladiators once they have been damaged.

A game of capture the colosseum

Once a colosseum has been captured by a clan, the clan will earn points for every 5 minutes that the arena is in their possession.

These points will differ depending on the colosseum’s distance away from your clan’s side of the map.

The amount of points you receive from the captured colosseum will contribute to your general Clan Battle score and will eventually decide the clan who has won the ultimate victory for glory.

This makes strategy, health, and the subsequent amount of points you have on the colosseum’s scale imperative for Clan Battle success.

Get ready to heal your gladiators, prepare your strategy, and fight to the death in the Clan Battle arena. Who will win the ultimate victory for glory and who will face the ultimate despair in gruelling combat? Let the Clan Battles commence!

The battle of the clans has officially begun

Prepare your clans, develop your fame, and fight for honour – Clan Battles are finally here.

Search for your battle

Start your clan’s fight for victory through the Games of Glory page where your clan’s leaders and generals can start the search for an opposition.

Opposing clans will be selected based on a similar power level to create similar power battles.

It’s all about preparation

Once an enemy clan has been selected for battle, you will have 24 hours to prepare your clan for war.

You will be able to see the war map and its arenas before the battle begins, and the clan chat window will be available from this screen.

Use the clan chat to discuss strategy and let everyone know about the battle. Align your team members with your war plan and get ready for combat madness!

Will you decide to all attack the same bases to keep territories for longer, or will you go for gold and try to get to the most powerful coliseums before the battle is over?

The fight for honour

You will have 24 hours to conquer the arena and gain victory over the opposing clan.

Your clan will start by fighting in the coliseums nearest to your “side” of the war map and the opposing clan will do the same on their “side”.

Once your clan is victorious in a coliseum they will capture it and earn points for every five minutes that the arena is captured.

After defeating the first arenas, you will be able to proceed to invading the adjoining coliseums and advancing towards the enemy clan’s side.

As you move closer to the enemy’s section of the arena ground, the battles will increase in difficulty. The harder the combat, the more prizes are to be won and the more points your clan will win for holding those arenas in your power.

Clan generals and leaders can order their clan members to attack a specific arena which can be implemented into their battle strategy.

Any fame earned during these battles will be clan fame not personal fame.

All that glitters is gold

After all successful combats, you will receive battle prize chests and win the rewards that are revealed within them.

Also, for every successful battle, you will obtain potential prizes that depend on the difficulty of the battle. These prizes are wood, silver, and gold tokens that you can use to purchase chests in the Merchant.

Individual members will earn these prizes depending on how many battles they have accomplished during the war.

If your clan is victorious in the war, you will receive 100% of these prizes and can bask in all your glory.

If your clan loses then all is not lost. You will still receive a proportion of these prizes to compensate your efforts during the gruelling and grizzly war.

So prepare your clans, wave your flags high, and get ready to battle to the death for glory

Clans are changing the “fame” game

Lanistae, you’ve been waiting for what feels like a lifetime –  but finally, the Clan System is coming to Gladiator Heroes! And with it come some very exciting changes to “fame” as you know it.

Rebalancing fame

Once the mighty Clan System has been implemented, the fame of ALL players will be rebalanced and integrated into a rebuilt League of Heroes system (this means most players will end up losing some fame after the rebalance).

After that point, fame will only be earned by winning multiplayer matches, and any fame that a gladiator earns will be assigned to the player’s city as a whole, instead of it being distributed among the gladiators like it has been previously.

This means that missions, event matches and challenges will no longer provide any fame for your gladiators or your city.

Now the only way to call the Gods’ attention will be to defeat other players in glorious multiplayer combat.

Teamwork makes the dream work

The moment a player joins a clan, their city’s fame will be added to the clan’s fame. As a result, all clan members will add their respective fame to the overall clan fame.

‘Tis the season to experience clans

The brand new Clan System will be based on something known as “Seasons” and a Season will begin on the first Monday of each Month, and end on the first Sunday of the following month.

During these Seasons, clans will compete to earn as much fame as possible. At the end of each Season, the clans with the highest fame will earn HUGE rewards.

At the end of each Season, the leaderboards will be reset and the competition will start once more.

Don’t panic; your fame will be preserved, so as soon as you fight at least once again in the new Season, you will be reinserted into the leaderboard at the same rank you achieved the previous Season, so you can continue climbing the League of Heroes to reach the ultimate glory!

Show off your Prestige

If you managed to reach God II (the highest league level) and continue to increase your fame, all that “surplus” fame will be converted into “Prestige points” when the Season ends.

Prestige points will be permanent, and will create the perfect way to show off to the world how glorious your clan is, as well as warning your foes that you’re not somebody to be messed with.

Only the most persevering lanistae will be able to claim the glory bestowed by the Gods, so push your limits and climb to the top with the help of your clan mates!

The new Gladiator Heroes forge

Weapons are the big winners in Gladiator Heroes’ latest update

Gladiators, hold onto your helmets; this new game update will have you rushing to sharpen your swords and shine your shields.

The development team behind Gladiator Heroes have this week announced a new update for both iOS and Android, including a host of improvements and some exciting new additions.

Introducing: the forge building, now available after headquarters level five. The new workshop allows players to work on their weapons, improving their stats. This new feature means that you can improve your gladiator’s ranking outside of just battles and training, and better weapons that you win in battle.

Got a whole lot of weapons in your armoury, and not enough gladiators to wield them? Put those leftover swords, shields and spears to good use, by submitting them to the forge. They’ll get melted down and added onto another weapon of your choice, to give it – and your gladiator – a boost in power.

“The new forge building means that players can take advantage of weapons in their armoury they might no longer use”, says César Ríos, game development team lead, “This gives players more control over the weapons they have available for their gladiators.”

But, not just any old gladiator can use the top weapons available; you need to know swing it before you can bring it to battle. A new ordering system means that gladiators need to have a corresponding rank and level before they can use the best battle equipment.

This whole weapons overhaul means that we’ve also added new five-star rarity weapons for ranks two, three and four, for all gladiator classes. We’ve also added new helmets, and bettered the lighting in the game.

What’s more, we’ve filled those post-battle treasure chests with more weapons, of more different varieties.

The last feature we’ve packed into this explosive update is the multiplayer replay function. When a fellow player dares attack your fighters in the ring, you’ll have the post-battle replay ready to go the next time you launch the app.

“We’ve been collecting all the feedback that people have given us about the game, and we’ve been adding improvements that they’ve requested,” says Ríos.

“They’ve said ‘We need a forge’, so we added a forge, or: ‘We need multiplayer’, so we added multiplayer, so we’re really open for everyone to propose changes or improvements in the characteristics of the game to include them.”

Here’s a full list of the new features and tweaks in the next update to Gladiator Heroes, due to go live this week:

Features:

  • New rarity 5 weapons for ranks 2, 3 and 4 for all gladiator classes
  • New forge building
  • Forge weapons to improve their stats
  • Multiplayer Replay system
  • New helmets
  • Now weapons require a certain rank and level to be able to be used
  • Better lighting
